Commitment

If you are an international student, you would need to commit to:

• 6 months to a year of English accountancy language study
• 3 - 4 years of basic degree study
• 1 ½ years of New Zealand chartered accountancy study with working experiences
• 2 years of overseas professional accountancy qualification and membership study

While professional accountants enjoy a vast selection of careers, the internationalization of the accounting standards and interpretations give the impetus for professional accountants to be continuously professionally educated.

The professional accountant is on a life long learning process. Every two or three years, the professional accountant is encouraged to undergo professional update and upgrade courses to keep pace with the ever changing world of finance and accountancy.
